The A244/s mod.3 torpedo is the very last evolution
of the A244/s fire-and-forget ASW LWT family
nowadays in service with 15 Navies.
The unique and extensively proven shallow water performance have been further enhanced
in the A244/s mod.3 to cope with the submarines
evolved capabilities and operational theatres such as:
• Long engagement range to render the launching vessel less prone
to the possible reaction of the sub
• Capability to counter more and more sophisticated anti-torpedo countermeasures
   released by the sub
• Capability to counter more and more silenced threats
• Capability to significantly delay the target alert and its reaction
• Capability to fully cope with the littoral waters warfare

The A244/s mod.3 torpedo has been designed to
counter the threat posed by any conventional submarine
as well as nuclear subs when engaged at the transit speed
of up to 15 Kts even when acoustically coated
or deploying anti-torpedo countermeasures
and evading at a maximum speed of 30 Kts.

The torpedo can be deployed by surface
platforms as well as by fixed and rotary
wing aircraft.
