acts as DCN's Export Sales department.
DCN's international alliances are made through DCN International.
DCN is the French agency in charge of ship building.

DCN's plants are located in Cherbourg, Brest, Indret, Lorient, Ruelle, 
Toulon, St-Tropez and Papeete. 
In 2000 the production was 1.5 G€.
The breakdown of production was as follows: 60% shipbuilding  & 
Combat Systems and 40 % service fleet maintenance.

DCN is the leading shipbuilder in Europe and ranks eleventh world-wide 
in terms of its "armaments" turnover. DCN handles all shipbuilding 
and military fleet maintenance trades. It has the capacity to design 
and produce even the most sophisticated warships and combat systems.
